It is self fertile and ripens late in the season, at the end of August for us here in Western WA.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has a deeper color than the variety Frost and is more productive. Betty has firm, semi-freestone fruit of excellent quality for making preserves, freezing, or enjoying fresh off the tree. Does not show much resistance to peach leaf curl.
