The Muscat of Alexandria grape is a prized ancient variety that has a rich history in winemaking. This self-rooted vine thrives in warm and arid climates, producing large clusters of pale green-yellow berries with intense floral aromas and high sugar content. The berries are large and roundish, with a matte green color and tough skin. They have a strongly aromatic flavor with a sweet musky taste. The seeds can be hardly noticeable or quite apparent, depending on growing location.

This grape is commonly used in European winemaking, particularly on European/spur systems. Not well suited to cool summer growing regions.
